“Momma Duck Says”

“Momma Duck Says” is a 20×20 original oil painting on wide canvas. This momma duck has her duckling tucked under her shadow as they take a little nap. Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, we raised duckling from stolen duck eggs. We would let the dog chase them off the nest and then swipe a few eggs from each nest. We would justify ourselves by thinking we were saving them from the turtles and snakes. My poor mother would be the one staying up in the middle the night as they hatched. Then we would walk them to the water in a line like we were the momma ducks and march them back again to the house. This painting has been sold. However, one can commission this again with minor changes to have an original of your own.
