“Being an artist is really funny to me. I never aspired to be an artist, in fact, it was never even a thought or a dream.” ~ Julie
Growing up, I played sports. Music was important in our family, so all of the children in my family had to pick an instrument to play. I never made it past junior orchestra due to the fact I hated to practice. I majored in Elementary Education and took Music Appreciation for my elective. I always enjoyed crafts and drawing with my children and in the classroom for fun. Art was something I always appreciated from afar. However, God has a great sense of humor. Around 2009, I walked into a gallery with a friend of mine and began painting under the resident artists. It was not long before I began teaching painting to children. God opened a part of me I did not know existed. Who would have ever known? So take a leap of faith and jump into painting and see if the temperature is right for you. If I can do this, so can you .I paint what captures my heart in hopes that it captures yours.
We can do all things through Christ who makes us strong. Philippians 4:11
