“Sunflower Portrait #2” is a 16×20 original oil painting. It is second in a series of eight that are painted on black backgrounds. After seeing fields upon fields of sunflowers during a a family cruise which included parts of Italy, I was mesmerized. Every petal and turn of the leaves became a temptation I did not want to escape. Sunflowers are still one of my favorite floral subjects to paint.
